Students

Tutors you can trust. At Company Name, checking profiles is essential. Our teams moderate all accounts registered on the platform. You will find trusted tutors there who are passionate about teaching! Refine your search using various filters including price and your level in the desired subject

Click on the “Contact” button then make your request. If you're unsure or if your request is urgent, do not hesitate to contact several tutors! Put as much information as possible in your request (your availability, location of the course, needs, level, expectations…) so that the teacher can answer you in full knowledge of the facts. 👉 Choose the lesson location - either face to face or by webcam. Once your request has been validated, you can choose the date of the first class or go to the next step.

You have selected a tutor and requested to book or contact them. Did you receive a confirmation email? Your request has been sent, the tutor has three days to respond to it ⌛ Our teams regularly call on our tutors to provide you with a quick response.

Feedback from our members is essential for the Company Name community! We ask each member to leave a review 1 week after the request is accepted. Reviews must be left if a lesson has taken place! If the opinion is negative, our teams will contact you. The tutor is then contacted. Our teams take this feedback into account, and the tutor receives a warning. Depending on the case, the decision may be different. To write a good review: be concise, expand on your feelings about your tutors methodology and indicate what you liked most or least These reviews will help members of the platform to find their tutor!

On Company Name, tutors can offer face-to-face or webcam lessons. This information is shown on their ad. If you only opt for face-to-face lessons, choose the ideal location (at your home, at their home or in a public place). Top tip: If you want face-to-face lessons, contact a tutor near you! Otherwise travel costs may apply. If you want online lessons, our tutors use several applications external to the platform. Organize your lessons in advance to be ready at the meeting time :timer: If you are not comfortable with these applications, your tutor will be happy to help you.

To cancel a class you must contact your tutor. Classes cancelled more than 24 hours before the start time will not be charged. Cancellations within 24 hours of the class start time can be charged at the full rate according to the tutor's discretion. The tutor will cancel the lesson on your behalf and it will be removed from your calendar.

Once you have created an account, you will be prompted to link a payment method to your account. We will use your payment method to pay for classes, only after the class has been marked as complete by the tutor. If there is a dispute, we are fully available to resolve the issue as smoothly as possible. Your payment method is not stored at all by us, but by our payments partner (Stripe) who is a leader in secure online payments. In fact, they handle most of the online payments on the internet! Your data is not shared with us, or any other third-party, so you can have full confidence when paying for your classes.

You have full access to your payment history with our digital receipts and email notifications. All of your payment history remains fully available, forever, and a detailed breakdown can be found on your Student Dashboard. You have full control over which payment method you want to use to pay for completed classes. Simply go to your Account page and click 'Change payment method'.

Changing your password is super easy, yet secure. Simply go to your Account page and click 'Change password'. We will send a 6-digit code to your email (to verify that it was really you that wants to change the password!). Enter in the 6-digit code from your email and change your password. Done!

Tutors

When student's want to work with you, you will get a message with the details of their request. From there, you can accept or reject the request from the tutor Messages page. When accepting or rejecting the request, we will ask you to provide further details you need from the student, or let them know why you aren't available on this occassion.

Students are given the opportunity to leave you a review of your time together after 3 completed classes. This review will be displayed on your public tutor profile and contribute to your average rating (out of 5). If the student does leave you a review, we will notify you by email and encourage you to leave a public response. In the unlikely scenario that a negative review is received, we advise you to respond poloitely and constructively, so that future students and parents can get the full picture and see your professionalism.

Once you have accepted a job request, you will be able to log classes with the student. We recommend that you schedule classes on your tutor Calendar page as soon as the details are finalized with the student. This let's the student see what classes are upcoming, so everybody stays in the loop! Once you have completed a class, simply go back to the Calendar, click the class, and click 'Mark as Complete'. We will then collect the payment from the student and send it over to your nominated bank account.

Yes, it's super easy to modify or cancel a class on your calendar. Simply visit your tutor Calendar page, select the class, and modify/cancel as needed.

We make it super simple to get paid. During the tutor Sign Up process, we require you to provide bank account details to our payment service provider, Stripe. We do not store any of your personal or bank account information on our servers. We automatically handle payment processing to your nominated bank account. If the student pays in a different currency to yours, we will convert the payment to your local currency automatically, for free! Payments are processed super quickly, taking on average less than 3 days. In rare cases we might have an issue collecting the student payment, in which case our team will actively follow up to obtain payment from the student as quickly as possible! You will be kept in the loop at all times.

Yes, all our UK-based tutor are required to upload a valid DBS certificate in their name. This is the UK law and is non-negotiable. Your tutor profile will not be visible in the search without a valid DBS certificate uploaded to your account. After your DBS certificate is uploaded, our team will check it is valid against the national databases. When your DBS certificate expires, you will be notified by email. You will be unable to add classes until you upload a new, valid DBS certificate. Your DBS status will be shown to prospective students on your public tutor profile.
